my feet

Re: my feet

^ I am trying the rose hip oil on my face for the past month or so and have yet to see any difference.

Re: my feet

Well I went tubing with some friends close to WV. I had a pretty sparkly french pedicure done too the day before cos my feet would be visible. To cut the story short I had to jump in the river, a risk I took thinking I still knew how to swim after 15 years of never having swam. After realising my swimming was taking me no where but down. My life jacket got loose and was coming off over my head my tube drifted off so I shouted for help and fortunately a guy jumped in and got me out of the water. Phew. And here I am alive and back on GS.

and before I forget about the pedicure connection, well it was ruined. I cut my foot from the bottom too, with scratches and bruises on top, haven't been to the gym since then. I had to wipe off the remains of my french pedicure when i got back home :(

Re: my feet

^ oh no that is scary!!! :( I am glad that you are alive and not hurt alhamdulillah!! :)

Re: my feet

Thanks :)

Re: my feet

Oh, that sounds terribly exciting yet scary Miss Femme. I’m glad you survived as GS would never be the same without you.

I think the first step to recovery is to get another pedicure once the bruising goes down. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve been told that rose hip oil works wonders on scars and helps areas where there is discolouration caused by bruises. Try it and let us know if it works.

Re: my feet

Thanks Mehnaz  i was dead scared at that time but now we all joke about it and laugh!

I really lack perseverance when it comes to these things. I bought rosehip oil 2 months ago but haven;t used it more than 2 weeks. If I don;t see fast results I move on. That is why I like that chemical peel idea

Re: my feet

yeah chemical peels aren't that scary if they are done properly. lactic peels are good for the body for begg. then, tca peels finish it off. but its better to spend the money and get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. but my friend did it by herself. (um..yes it helps in facial scarring too..but dont do that alone!!) see a professional for more insight.

Re: my feet

I need a pedicure too.. but no money shoney

Re: my feet

where’d u get the rose hip oil?

Re: my feet

Hinna, I got it from the Nutrition House. They have a lot of branches in the downtown core. I am pretty sure you can get it at any natural health store where you can buy homeopathic medicines.

Re: my feet

Thanks Sadzzz

A chemical peel is when they apply I don;t know what kind of an acid (maybe glycolic) to your skin and remove the upper layers of the skin bringing out new unblemished skin. Or atleast that is what i think it is.

Re: my feet

^ ugh, that sounds painful Femme.

Re: my feet

No Pain No Gain...ask LK :D

Re: my feet

Oh okay…cool. So how do you use rose hip oil? Do you apply it straight from the bottle?

Re: my feet

Actually, it's not that painful from what I've heard. The acid stays on for like a minute to two minutes, and either self neutralizes or is neutralized with water and baking soda. Yeah it burns, but then water and baking soda (slows down the peel to a stop) is applied to your skin by the licensed cosmetologist who is administrating your peel. Alot of people get it done, and alot of desi women get it done..since our skin produces more melanin, hence the increased amount of skin discoloration and pronounced acne marks. Just something to consider.

Re: my feet

I only started using it a few days ago. It has one of those rotating balls at the top of the bottle so you can rub it directly onto your skin. I just put a little bit on and massage it into my feet. I have this scar from these ugly shoes I got a few months back (which I ended up chucking out after a few weeks) and it’s making the scar go lighter … I don’t know if it’s all in my head though and I’m just seeing what I want to see. :bummer:

Re: my feet

sara516 -- I am not into all these various different kinds of foot lotions and so on, yet my feet are fine . Just soak them for a few mins in hot water with some liquid soap. Why dont you wear sandals instead of shoes? I would think that would be the quickest and most effective solution.

Re: my feet

I bought that blade thinga-majig from Shopper's Drug Mart.....it's really neat. Just after one use, my feet feel a lot softer!
