i like the fact that desi brides have such a range of colors to choose from for their wedding, white for everyone is SO boring
i think girls can pull off heavy shararas and jewelry and still look classy and elegent, its such a unique and different look from western bridal wear

there's something to be said for culture though. i like the fact that unlike arabs and iranians, people in pakistan and india have preserved their traditional clothes...i think we should embrace it rather than blindly copying western customs. there's no reason why you cant wear a traditional dress without looking overdone and gaudy.
