ermmm...cruise control isn't really dangerous bro...its one of the driving rules that the driver has to be prepared for anything, so if the driver isn't prepared, as you said, then its not the cruise control's fault, since anything can happen that way...And its not even hard, just applying the brakes turns the cruise control off, so if the driver even accidently switches into cruise control (trust me its not that easy), then he can just apply the brakes to shut it off...i'm not sure if you were saying that the cruise control has a malfunction or if it was the driver who couldn't control it...thts why we should always make sure we read the manuals before using cars...
