It was hilarious. Ponting was definitely caught off gaurd :hehe:
Over-enthusiastic fan leaves Ponting red-faced
Bangalore, Sept. 28 (PTI): A man trying to give him a peck on the cheek at a charity auction here had Australian captain Ricky Ponting red-faced.
Ponting had to face some embarrassing moments as a man who sought to pose with him, went on to hug him here last night, a gesture Ponting obliged, but he was taken aback when the man forcibly tried to kiss him on the cheek.
The incident happened at a get-together organised by ING Vysya Bank, where an auction of photographs of Ponting carrying his autograph was held, under the banner “Take Home Ricky Ponting.”
Later, the man, who identified himself Jayaram Reddy, turned out to be the biggest bidder for an autographed bat and again tried to get close to Ponting. This time, Ponting was firm and just shook hands keeping him at an arm’s length.
