Re: Muslim women marrying non-muslim Men
Why is it invalid? What is the reason behind it being invalid?
This is quote from Quran.... “And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al‑Mushrikoon till they believe (in Allaah Alone) and verily, a believing slave is better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater), even though he pleases you. Those (Al-Mushrikoon) invite you to the Fire, but Allaah invites (you) to Paradise and forgiveness by His Leave, and makes His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to mankind that they may remember” * *[al-Baqarah 2:221]* *
So if a Christian man says that he only believes in God and considers Jesus only a Prophet, is marrying such Christian still haram, why so when he only believes in the oneness of God?
And Jews already believe in the oneness of God, so how would marrying a Jew makes the marriage invalid?
As Sehar said in Quran, *it is not specified Jew or Christian. All it says that the person has to believe in the oneness of Allah/God *.
‘… (lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before your time…’ [al-Maa’idah 5:5]
