You have to be careful with that to because nowadays many christians and jews arent considered "people of the book" because many dont follow the old testament.....many have created their own form of christianity and judaism.
True. The best is to marry someone from your own religion. They will have to answer whether they are Muslim of words only or actions as well. That's between them and Allah. You can try to guide them to the straight path, but that certainly does not give anyone (guy or girl) a free pass to marry someone outside of religion. Guys should marry girls outside of religion only when it's extremely necessary, not sure when that would be, but perhaps for greencard purposes? My personal opinion on that is that don't screw the girl, if you marry someone for greencard, marry them for good as you would marry a girl of your own culture.
