Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

Re: Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

I've been following this for a long while. Initially a month ago, when I first read the incident. This is where I stopped caring:

she was "moved" by something posted by her christian friend. the christian friends church converted her when she was 11....

lol. and who knows what kind of wahabi type parents are these or not. then again, she has taken refuge with an extremist evangelical church.

I understand, but its just a rocky road to get on the topic of what "the Muslim people" think. They aren't a monolith, its difficult to summarize the views of millions of people. And there are always differing views on topics within any religious group....like you mentioned earlier, you feel the destruction of the Babri mosque wasn't right, so I wouldn't judge your opinion by asking whether every Indian agreed with you or not. There are basic human rights in any situation which should be respected, regardless of what others think.

The conversion, like I mentioned earlier, does NOT infuriate me. Just read my last post.

Thats a huge generalization. I'm quite aware of the Christian faith, having grown up as the only Muslim around several Christians my whole life, thank you very much. And I'm sure there are Christians who are aware of the Muslim faith as well.

Muslims who convert wouldn't see it that way though now, would they? For me anyways, I see God as He who I should fear and He who loves me more than anyone all at the same time. For many Christians, you dont fear God because there is an overwhelming assurance that if you accept Jesus into your heart, you will be 'saved' no matter what and will go to Heaven. Your deeds in this world don't matter as much as your belief, regardless of whether the two even match up (e.g. saying you believe in God, but refusing to follow the commands of God) And I think there is far more to Christianity than just Jesus and the Bible, so why reduce a faith to a book and a prophet? The concept of original sin for example is one big difference between the two faiths.

I dont see how this is relevant to the topic at hand?

Its not that cut and dry, my friend. Even Muslims hesitate to say "we will all go to heaven!" because Allah (swt) knows best and sometimes a small deed of good can please God enough to grant jannat al-firdaus while one sin in a sea of good deeds can displease Him enough to make us go to hell. Secondly, there are many people who even disagree on whether the Christians of today believe exactly what Christians did in previous times. We all know the main unforgivable sin is shirk, i.e. associating anyone with God, and the Christians I grew up with prayed to Jesus, not to God (or would often use the terms interchangeably). So how can you so knowingly argue that all Muslims believe that Christians will go to heaven without any doubt? I'm not saying they will or they won't, I'm just saying that there is a difference of opinion even amongst Muslims.

The problem is that when the Muslim community does clarify their position, it gets ZERO media attention. Just look at CAIR. They are one of the main arenas for the North American Muslim community, yet it doesnt make 'good news' to cover a story about Muslims actually being against violence or terrorism.

Re: Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

I heard that a lot of effort is going on in China to convert people to christianity.

Its sad that people are losing their souls (or their children) just for the sake of having some food on the table.

Her story has taken a strange turn:**

Rifqa Bary Suffering from Cancer, Her Lawyers Bring In Her Parents**

There has been a terrible development in the case of Rifqa Bary, the teenage girl who fled from her home in fear for her life after her devout Muslim father found out she had becomea Christian. According to Rifqa, who is now in foster care in Ohio, **she has been diagnosed with advanced uterine cancer.
**
While this is a tragedy, how Rifqa is being victimized by her lawyers and her parents is nothing less than an atrocity. Her lawyers kept her in the dark about her condition – despite the seriousness of her cancer – for well over a week while they conferred with her parents and their CAIR-appointed lawyers about her treatment. While most cases like this result in a hysterectomy, Rifqa is only having the advanced malignancy removed. From what I understand, the survival rate in cases like these is only five percent.

Was she allowed to get a second opinion? No.

While she was lying ill, her lawyers brought her parents to her hospital bed. She was awaiting treatment and when she saw them, whereupon she became very agitated and upset. Her parents had to be removed.

One thing that has happened as a result of this terrible development is that Rifqa has broken her silence, a silence mandated by her lawyers. For some time now, she could not talk to her friends, such as her close friend and fellow convert from Islam, Jamal Jivanjee, or to those of us who have not wavered in our support for her civil rights and religious liberty.

She reached out to Jamal, who reports that “Rifqa has already had two surgeries at this point, and she is getting ready to undergo a third surgery which will be occurring this Thursday, May 27. … As soon as Rifqa heals from the major surgery that she will undergo this Thursday, it is expected that she will need to undergo several rounds of chemotherapy. Although she has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, the extent of her condition will be known after this Thursday’s surgery.”

Now Rifqa is scared, and with good reason. Says Jamal, “Her situation is very serious, and she will need the help of many people in the weeks and months ahead.” Her entire legal strategy, of which I have been critical, was directed at keeping her safe and securing her immigration status. Now here we are at the end of May, and this strategy is obviously an abysmal failure: Rifqa has no immigration status.

Rifqa’s legal strategy has been reactive, not proactive. Her lawyers have been kept busy responding to motions filed by Omar Tarazi, who was chosen for the Barys by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case.

The worst example of how Tarazi fooled Rifqa’s lawyers was that he compelled them to have Rifqa plead guilty to “unruliness” to secure dependency, and then reneged on his part of the deal once the guilty plea had been entered. The guilty plea continues to have negative ramifications for those who love Rifqa and have helped her. With the “unruly” plea as a pretext, criminal investigations are proceeding, and charges are pending against people who helped Rifqa, such as Brian Williams and Blake and Beverly Lorenz, who helped Rifqa when she fled from her home.

What Tarazi is doing is running out the clock so that Rifqa will be without immigration status when she turns 18 this August. Will authorities then deport her? There is no way of knowing for sure, but CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood reportedly have infiltrated senior levels at the State Department so deeply that it is a distinct possibility. And in Sri Lanka, as Rifqa herself has said, she could be killed or institutionalized, with no unwelcome scrutiny interfering in the application of Islamic law.

Jamal Jivanjee explains: “Many people have thought that her eighteenth birthday would be a cause of celebration because she would be free of the immediate threat of being placed under the control of her devout Muslim parents.” But instead, “Rifqa will be facing many challenges when she turns 18 on August 10.” Upon her birthday in August 2010, she will be an illegal alien in need of serious chemotherapy and cancer treatment.

This is a horror. Everyone has failed Rifqa: her parents, her lawyers, the state of Florida, the state of Ohio, child protective services.

I ask all readers to keep Rifqa in your prayers.

So strange how things turn out and the conspiracy theorists are already saying it might be family/Muslims trying to murder her, can these losers get any more paranoid??

Some of the comments are just unbelievable:

'“Wonder if she was diagnosed by a Moslem (spelling intentional) doctor.” They have pretty thoroughly infiltrated our medical system, Trial Lawyers having driven many of the “Infidel” practitioners out of practice. I wonder if that’s a coincidence or not?

A Friend told me about a Muslim Nurse who was visited by a couple of Middle-Eastern Agents who insisted that she list all of her patients by name, religion, and room number every other day or so and report to a local Mosque, I think it was.

When she refused, one of them whipped out a knife and slashed the throat of her Maid in the wink of an eye; she dropped dead at the Nurse’s feet and they told her on no uncertain terms that the same fate awaited her if she dared to disobey them.

Last I knew the Nurse was on the run and in hiding.

If Sister Rifqa is under the control of Muslim Doctors then her mortal fate is probably sealed. They’ll go to remove a “tumor” (which might not even be there) and take out her heart in stead. “OOPS”. (Allah Achubar!) Unless someone can smuggle her out to a good Cancer center in Israel - about the only place she’ll stand a chance IMHO, then the best hope we have is that her eternal destiny is assured.

I have a feeling that Elohim has something planned for this young ladie’s life however, and expect that He will miraculously deliver her from the hands of the Barbarian as Daniel was delivered from the mouth of the lions. Time is nigh for not only the preaching of the Word, but for the DEMONSTRATION of “DUNAMUS” - Holy Spirit Second Chapter of Acts - POWER!’

'How sad,…this whole situation is like one big conspiracy. If they can inject cancer into mice, why not humans? I trust NOTHING with THESE people!! I agree,..she needs a second opinion, new representation and moved far away, just give her some peace!!..In my everyday prayers. ..Dear Lord,..please look over Rifqa,..keep her safe, how ever you see fit A-men.’

‘I want the Ohio medical board investigating this very, very closely. I for one do not believe it. I plan to file a formal request for an investigation. If anyone else wants to do the same, here’s a starting point for how to do so:
http://www.med.ohio.gov/pdf/FAQs/FAQ_DATABASE.pdf
I think we are witnessing something that comes from the same dark place from whence the Holocaust was spawned, and it horrifies me.’

‘I do not believe Rifqa has cancer. This is just a diabolical way for her parents (and CAIR) to kill her legally** and not be punished for it. Send in a team of impartial doctors to examine her, get her out of there and into a hospital. This is cleverly planned murder.** American justice is a laughing stock. We are always made to do what the Moslems want, not what if right. America is a quagmire of corruption and cowardice’

Re: Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

Maybe Jesus can help her?

Re: Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

^^ why not?

Re: Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

Uterine cancers are exceptionally rare in patients this young. Something about all of this sounds fishy.

The only thing that comes to mind is that her mother may have used drug Diethylstilbesterol while pregnant. It has been known to cause Clear cell carcinoma of the Uterus in daughters of women who used the drug. The tumors from exposure to the drug can be discovered between 15 and 20 years old.

It is no longer used in the US, but may have been used in Sri Lanka where the family is from...

Nothing fishy, just bad luck. You cant just cause someone to get Cancer over night.

Re: Muslim teen fears for life after changing religion

whoa moooselems have technology to create instant cancer...shyte...

let the girl be what she wants to be, hopefully she will get the help she needs for her health, immigration, and personal issues and live how she chooses to do it.

as far as custody, its only a year anyways after that her folks cant keep her around, so let her go into state programs and decide her own future direction.

i dont see what all the hoopla is about, just something for uber right winger christian and uber right winger muslim nutjobs to jump about.

relaaax mon, have a jaam sandweeech..
