That usually happens when you just read what you want to read. I think I used the word ‘obsessed’ in a very literal sense and in case I wasn’t clear enough, all I meant was that from my personal experience I’ve seen kids who are madly into hugely hyped big franchise movie books often don’t read or show enough interest in other kids of literature. If some parents have problem with their child’s reading choice than I guess they do have ways and choice to shape their child’s reading list for better. Different strokes for different folks.
And yes Harry Potter books aren’t good enough if this the only thing you read.
