Yes it's against Islam but not everyone follows the religion they were born into. And no it's not insulting to religion, it just shows that those Khans aren't good Muslims. As far as the topic is concerned, I think any marriage can be successful and survive regardless of the race and religion. I know one couple in real life thats hindu-muslim and they ahve been married for 4 years now.
I am sorry i dont agree to what you said there. Sara's post has the answer to it this which is marriage ll be successful only if you are godless and do not care about any haram halaal.
I cannot even think of marrying a person who is not a practicing muslim let alone someone from other religion.
Secondly yes not everyone follows islam 100% but difference between Halaal and Haraam is known to almost everyone. Only a small percentage (such as such marriages) deliberately close their eyes and opt for haraam. I can just feel sorry for them and nothing else.
