- volunteer at the masjid, there coudl be a sister married to a brother there that could be good friends with the convert
- ISNA/RIS Conventions. . They usually have those speed dating type programs
- take a islamic knowledge course. maybe even volunteer there as well.

I'm gonna help you score with PCG...or at the very least induce fewer headaches in the readers, irrespective of gender. Too many adjectives weigh writing down whereas verbs propel it. You want to use more of the latter and go easy on the former. Please don't take this to mean that you should go crazy with the verbs. Also, proofreading helps too. Example: "Prior you all do, what you need to do?" Not only does that not make any sense, in my head it sounds like "priiiar you aaaall do, vutt you need to do?"

Plenty of new muslim converts around these days - but where do you meet them? Masjids are generally segregated?
If u don't mind a convert why not also consider non-desi born muslims as well?

I met a convert that refused to reveal the identity of someone he knew that sounded very much like someone I knew. He said that talking about him would be like back-biting and that is haram. Heck I was just trying to find some familiar ground with him.....needless to say that coffee was the last with Jeffrey.

I think your idea of normal is a little skewed. Judging from how many abnormal and how few normal guys you meet, I think it's time you changed your criteria for normality.
