Musharraf's rating plumments

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

missed the point again did ya. just a few montsh ago when an IRI survey was posted on this very site, BB's chahnay walay on this site had a coronery and they spent posts after posts explaining how IRI ratings can not be trusted because IRI is a mouth piece for republicans.

interesting that now when IRI says something negative about Musharraf, they become the gospel.

PS: yeah if we take your example then he can make some side deals with the ruler in power then, the one who had been blasting in front of anyone who would bother to listen

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

hah, wasn't accountability/anti-corruption the slogan of coup? Mashallah se accountability died its "natural" death within first 2-3 years (?) while corruption went only one way i.e. up.

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

you mean like kalo in UK

Re: Musharraf’s rating plumments

images u posted r extremely tiny

second the survey is only 4000 ppl based out of 156.77 million ppl of Pakistan.
whereas we must also not forget many live in rural areas who have no precise idea of western politics…the real deal.

the ground reality of pakistan is ppl sell their votes (even on a last minutes). goli also work on them :teary1:

therefore i dont worry much about this survey, cuz pakistan have its own definition of saaf shafaf intekhebat in Karachi, interior sind, punjab, NWFP, n Balochi bhai

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

why are you so sure. They may already have. Remember BB kept asking mush to take uniform off.

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

hahaha you're right. I guess uniform can be uncomfortable in bed. lol

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

I can't speak for the PPP chamchay's around here. I am just telling the party position.

Re: Musharraf’s rating plumments

Sorry Zobia, I uploaded larger images but they got lost somewhere..I dont know

Re: Musharraf's rating plumments

IRI again, well I guess we do take US govts views as the gospel :)

I looked at the powerpoint june 06-jun 07, some obervations..

well IRI survey also shows that there was an upsurge of sentiment about the econmic condition in the country and even in june 2007 more ppl believed that econmic conditions were getting better than those who thought so in june 2006, ofcourse earlier in the year 41% had positive outlook on economy..dont think 41% are the elite..as some may say here.

1% thought musharraf resigning from army was amajor eection issue...contrary to whatmany here say
13% thought overty was a big issue...contraryto what many here seem to believe
law and order and political reform did not seem to be big issues from people's perspective..

45% of the people did not support a general strike to protest 5/12 and 12% did not know or did not responf, so appears while majority did not liek what happened they did not support the strike either.

71% ofthe nation was concerned about lal masjid situation, contrary to what some maluvi hazrats views have been

for presidents achevements the percentage of ppl who considered his performance good.(bad)

swift and across the board accountability 48% (41%)
devolution of power to grassroots level 50% (37%)
depoliticizing state institutions 47% (42%)
ensuring law and order and dispensin speedy justice 48% (44%)
reviving economy and restoing investor confidence 47% (40%)
strengtheing the federation 45% (42%)
rebuilding confidence and morale 53% (35%)

hmmmmm looks like more people gave him good than poor grade on every single point...

now it does show that in jun 2007, 34% of the people think he is doing a good job versus 49% ppl who disapprove, yet back in june 2006 when his approval rating was 60% we had experts on GS disputing the number and sources :D

interesting to note that while hs performance took a hit in oct 06 in nwfp and balochistan big time, it had a big time gain in punjab in that period, sindh also went up buut by a few points..so what happened around oct 06 :D

for ifti's chahnay walay, 38% of the ppl felt that niether he nor musharraf would be good to lead pakistan 32% thought musharra was better and 25% thought ifti was better

qazi, altaf, fazl and altaf are the bottom four politicians.

and even after all this 32% think BB is bestt o lead pak 27% think musharraf and 21% think Nawaz. rest of the players are worthless on their own..

best leader by province chart shoes the ethnic divide..

nawaz leads punjab..musharraf is second
bhutto leads sindh..musharraf is second
musharraf leads nwfp..I guess they are tired of MMA..BB is second
BB leads balochistan..musharraf is second

seems like after all is said and done he is a viable choice for many people across the country, and with no one really to get a clear majority..he will be a player either way.
