President Mubarak of Egypt would be proud of musharraf. He is the only other president in the world who polls 99.9% of the popular vote. Hats off to both of them.
Pakistani military ruler Pervez Musharraf swept most votes (384 out of 702)...
Surprisingly PML-Q again united in favour of Musharraf. People thought Musharraf had lost their support. I think exile of NS played a great deal of role in it. Had he been allowed to stay here, these lottas would have not voted for PM.

Correction, hes lost his support from the 'people of Pakistan', and not some PML[Q] jackasses voted into power through a rigged election.
^ how does that relate to musharraf, as the army never removed ayub, he resigned, and that was not because of the army, it was because of Bhuttos immobilization of the ppl...

May be army was not behind that. But again there is no Bhutto today who can mobilize them again? Imran Khan is a total failure. Bhutto became a popular leader within 3-4 years but IK is playing his foolish politics for the last 10 years or so.

I did not mention IK or related him to the context? Is it beacuse he speaks against the MQM?
It will take alot more than IK to get rid of Musharraf, I agree, as Musharraf is a dheet kisam ka insaan. He will get his, soon, inshallah...
No I was speaking generally. Poeple had great expectations from him but he failed. Some time I wonder I wasted my vote then in 2002, had I voted for MMA, things would have been different here.
