I believe Musharaf read the storry of gog magog so he is afriad of lifting the emergencey. :) Elections will be under emergency and than Pak will be ruled under emergencey as well.

nawaz sharif was never a right hand man of zia, nawaz never got his goons to storm the supreme court, nawaz never stopped jang from publishing, nawaz never signed a deal with saudi arabia, and nawaz made all his money through business acumen and not through corruption.
the fact that our press continues to be a mouth piece of nawaz sharif is a good enough justification for the treatment press is receiving at the hands of musharraf.

I think someone needs to sit down with you and explain what “double standards” really mean. Show me where I supported CJ. I support or criticize “actions”, I have said on many places that CJ is not an angel and should not have taken oath on first PCO if he was any good. Try someone else for that accusation

another thing this visit shows that Mush still have STRONG grip on things in Pakistan (at least he think so). Weak rulers normally don't leave country in crunch time i.e If they think that they are losing grip on things, they stay at home.

There is no need to mark these words, Musharraf has already backtracked from his words written in his own book... now he is still trying to make deals with one of the corrupt/criminal leaders, issued NRO etc.
