Losing swat to terrorists and let them create a foothold in FATA were great policies of Musharraf.
Not being able to attack them because your opposition screams "bloody murder of our innocent pakistanis" is criminal. Musharraf should have acted like a real dictator and shutup the amazing saintly "democracy" (and "human rights") lovers in the opposition, forcefully.
Re: Musharraf says his policy on terror war was right.
^ When the new Govt came in, there was not a single suicide attack for months. But as soon as they started following mushy's footsteps, they started all over again.

get real, he was too busy fighting civilians in order to hold on to his kursi, didnt give two hoots about Swat or Pakistan. This was precisely the time swat was lost.
hmm, no wonder things have improved dramatically since his departure.
The gund spread by his incompetent and stupid policies will take sometime to clean. Thank God the army is under professional soldier now and they are cleaning the mess left by Musharraf
I think Musharraf's policy against terror was right, but he did not get the necessary support from people. People thought he is doing it to keep US government happy, now they know, it is as much of our war, as it is theirs.
Robert bhaijan. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. People are indeed now questioning what the current government is doing regards to the Unprecedented increase in terror attacks since they took over.

Unprecedented people unprecedentedly running low on memory.
Musharraf's policies were well thought out and beneficial for the country, the only thing I would say he did wrong was adapting to the new situations in the appropriate time, he took too long changing strategies when things on the ground changed, and that is what I think got him. He was one of the few leaders of Pakistan who actually knew what a leader is meant to be doing.
The current politicians of Pakistan are a joke, and for the sake of the country should be stood in a line and shot one by one, as it seems like throwing them in jail, or even exiling them for years doesn't seem to stop them from coming back and looting the country again.
