What I pointed was that a general blanket statement should not be used to endorse supporting the "War on Terror" as "Musharraf's policy" because there were many flaws in how Musharraf supported the war on terror.

Just to point out that we in Pakistan must define things from our perspective. While USA is happy to call it "WOT or War on Terror". For us it is not simply war in terror. For us it is Struggle fOr Survival or SOS.
It was SOS for Pakistan and our leadership tried their best to keep it low intensity law and order struggle. Because majority of Pakistanis here and abroad never had a foresight to see how daunting and dangerous the Jihadi enterprise had become.
Pakistanis went ga-ga anytime someone showed up supporting a beard, and uttering Arabic sentences in support of Jihad on Pakistan.
Musharraf was not one person. It was Pak army trying to fend off a huge challenge in the face of Islamic invasion of Pakistan's territory.
The same way Zardari is not one person. He is fighting two wars. The one against Jihadis and the second struggle against Pakistani masses who refuse to open their eyes and see how bad the terrorists are.
It is rather criminal on anyones part to term SOS as Musharraf or Zardari's war. It never is. These sobs can leave the country and settle in comfy Western apartments like so many Jihadi supporters from USA and UK.
Our heart cries out for Pakistani masses who won't be able to leave Pakistan and would face death, destruction similar to Afghanistan if we don't defeat and defeat decisively the menace of Jihadis war on Pakistan. Because for us it is SOS.
