ISLAMABAD - The Defence Minister’s proximity with President Pervez Musharraf is hurting the embattled Chaudhrys of PML-Q a lot and Chaudhry Shujat Hussain has harshly criticised the growing friendship between the above two in the party’s private meetings, TheNation has learnt reliably here on Saturday. “President Pervez Musharraf’s forwarding steps towards Ahmad Mukhtar, particularly after the latter’s statement in which he (Mukhtar) had asked his party to jointly work with the President while terming him (President) saleable commodity, have become a source of grave apprehension for Chaudhry Shujat Hussain,” said a PML-Q central leader requesting not to be named.
He said that according to Chaudhry brothers, the President’s friendship with Defence Minister was an open infidelity on part of the President with his old guards of PML-Q. “In their recent meetings with President Musharraf, Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and Arbab Ghulam Rahim communicated their concerns in this regard to the President but with no remarkable result,” the source added. He said that in the recent past some of the disgruntled elements of PML-Q had also advised the President to replace the leadership of PML-Q to make it more congenial to N-League. “In the circumstances Chaudhrys of Gujrat have a solid logic to think that their arch rival’s amity with President Musharraf could damage their position in bewildered Q-League,” he told. “Chaudhry brothers are not ready to compensate Ahmad Mukhtar at any cast and the man who is the friend of latter is the foe of formers,” he said, adding that **Ahmad Mukhtar inclusion in the entourage of President Pervez Musharraf on his China’s visit had further fueled the annoyance of the Chaudhrys. **

Instead of fighting over the President, people with low IQs and deficient personalities like the paindoo Chaudharies of Gujrat should thank their lucky stars that they managed to hold such important posts in the past. Anywhere-else in the world they would be lucky to be offered dustbin cleaning or cab-driving jobs. At best they would be running off-licence or 7-24 Cost-cutter (I call them cost-inflator) type shops.

Have not heard him speak yet, hence can't comment on his liaqat or lack of it....will have to reserve my judgement until I have had that 'privilege'

You think so. Every Pakistani corner shop I know sells ham sandwiches and bacon sausages and ‘top shelf’ magazines (now even the supposedly non-adult bottom shelf ones have considerable nudity in them!! magazines like GQ, FHM etc. 
) if not sharaab…
What’s more some of these ‘halal’ Pizza places like GOGO sell pizzas with pepperoni (khinzeer…one of my naive friends ordered a pepperoni pizza thinking it was red bell pepper (or shimla mirch) and literally started bragging about how tasty it was until he realised what he had just eaten!!) and ham and the staff quite non-chalantly use the same hands to sprinkle chicken and ham pieces etc. over the different pizzas. So how is it halal then I asked a staff member? Suffice to say he had no answer and I now try and avoid such places
