That would've been awesome and would definitely have earned him a name in the history books, had it actually been true.
He actually worked to their cause and if anything they've just flourished during his rule. He implemented the wrong policies, he took all decisions on his own w/out taking the Parliament or the public into confidence, and the list of wrongs just goes on and on. He ignored his critics and opponents, even when they were right.
I supported him when he first came into power in 99. He started off with the fresh, public-favored ideology but after that he became a nightmare like Zia for the public.
