A totally failed strike, all markets in my area remained open (in DHA and adjacent areas in Lahore). Even the Opposition News paper have said that http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=story_10-9-2005_pg1_6 . Daily Times is owned by Mr Salman Taseer, EX MNA of PPPP.

^^Mullahs have no f^*&ing idea how to run governments. All of them should be packed in containers with their @r$e$ stamped "for export to Saudi only", and shipped out of country. These MAToos and their cronies have done nothing to imporve the outdated tax structure, and education of the massess.
They have failed even to develop a good infrastructure in the Frontier where these Fatsos have been dining and doing halwa-giri for so many years. The MMA failed miserably in their rock solid strongholds in NWFP, coming just after the local elections where the ANP and PPP stormed back to win at their expense.

While Im glad the Mullahs arent gathering much support, one thing does seem worrying.. The lack of political will of the everyday comman Pakistani. Everyone seemed to be eith oblivious, or just dont care. It would be neice to see some rotests to anything atleast for the sake of individual impowerment...
I have to admit that I am getting tired of Musharafs lack of progress on key issues like Democracy, and under him people seem to become more and more alienated... So while economy has improved the politcal front seems to become more and more littered with dangerous consequences. I think we need to have more People power lest we turn into a complete dictatorship..
