Mai is a remarkable lady who has refused to take it lying down. Her courageous fight against her oppressors and the tribal system has made her a symbol of resistence and ray of hope for those who wish to change things. Thus the negative reaction from those moronic obcurantist who are running scared of a single female simply because she speaks the truth.
Its pathetic how the clergy reacts to rape, honor killings and lack of respect to women. These morons are defending centuries old tribalistic traditions under the garb of religion. By doing this they are maligning the good name of Islam and supporting an unjust sytem cause it serves their narrow minded vision of life.
Mushrraf and company having earned accolades in supporting Mai in her early day ordeal have managed to transform themselves into villians by their own stupid paranoia and shortsighted view of media management.
