Re: Mukesh Bhatt: ‘I don’t need Pakistan to give me hits’
reminds me of my own experience.
these guys i worked with did not demand from me anything except for the advance payment and nothing else was mentioned and i did not ask much in my excitement of finally being able to record my own song. the greed over came them, i guess. once the song was recorded, they were totally different people. i promised them alot. i mean i promised them that i would send them back all the money they wanted after i got back cz i had no idea suddenly the demand would “rise” and what i was carrying with me was what i was told the cost would be for one song. they even pushed me to ask my father if i didnt have it. they even mentioned of using my song in someone else’s voice if i didnt pay them (sort of like black mailing). this is where i lost all the respect for them. initially, they told me stories of how the budget had exceeded cz of expenses they had to meet on travel. i believed it. but blackmailing (abt using my song) was too much to take. i refused to pay them another penny even if that meant scrificing my own song. you know, i guess the whole thing behind their sudden changed attitude was greediness. i also tried to explain to them politely not to behave like greedy b@stards then since i had all my heart into it. and that they would earn lots of money cz i knew my song would be a success but they maybe wanted some fast money. they also were not very optimistic cz i had told them clearly that it would be difficult for me to participate in the concerts in pakistan (i was clear abt everything) and that is where they said the whole money lied.
i was so dishearted. what happened suddenly to them?
if i had had my song, anyway, it wouldnt have been sold to some idiots who would later claim to make my song famous for me. i would have earned fame and be happy with it ![]()
but i think these small issues between team members give birth to what has happened now.
