But I do think that Sher e Punjab was a nice guy to Muslims of Punjab. So keeping in mind the ethnic basis of Nawaz's party, he would be an appropriate election-symbol.
On the other hand, it really may turn out to be good for Altaf's MQM if they choose Hanuman the Monkey as their election-symbol. Because some of Nawaz's die-hard supporters for his being Punjabi, people like Spock, may be giving votes to MQM, thinking that Hanuman the Monkey represents Nawaz the Monkey.

That's correct. I know that not every Punjabi follows NS for his being Punjabi. It is only a very small minority, people like Spock, who do that.
As far as I am concerned, I support whatever is good for the country, regardless of one's nationality. My problem is that people like Spock, with their narrow vision, dislike the whole section of people, like Urdu-speaking people, only for their being non-Punjabi.
Such people think only in nationalistic terms, and this is detrimental for Pakistan.

What a disaster if true. The Siberian Tiger has never occured in Pakistan. It occurs in the Russian/Chinese borderlands. This will be an ecological disaster if the tiger is freed:-
it has no prey species - it will start attacking domestic cattle or even men.
it does not belong in nwfp and alien wildlife species can create havoc.
it might starve as the few wild animals that occur here are montane species which the tiger has little chance of preying upon.
I can understand how the Sharifs themselves will be paying for the animals BUT what sort of an example does it set to the long suffering poor of the country. The argument that the Sharifs are paying out of their own pocket is weak too - they looted the country.
Just in News that the Tiger has been donated to the NWFP govt and will be freed in the mountainous region of the province. That is a good gesture..
I think Sher-e-Hindustan also the father of hindustan Shri Aurengzeb would be better…
