So Mazar Burlas is another not sold-out journalist - by the way i read his name and column first time.
Now for the first paragraph of column, PTI have enough of lotas & Musharraf era people that criticizing PMLN is just absurd.
Pakistan internet users are 31 million or 17.6 of population, lets assume 60% of these online people are PTI supporters the question is what kind a difference the internet-warriors will make even if they manage to win social media wars which is highly unlikely.
Example of just one medium Facebook fans will be enough:
- Musharraf 560K
- Imran Khan 536
- Shahbaz 300k
I can’t find Nawaz Shareef official page.
PTI is the first on internet because most of followers were abroad meaning they have expertise and better access to technology then ordinary Pakistanis in Pakistan. PMLN also felt the heat and start the social media operations they are in the catching phase it will take another year or two for them to come to the same footing as extensive as PTI but at least they are making the efforts, same goes to other parties.
Now if some one provide concrete evidence that social media will have sizable impact on electoral, otherwise i am not buying this notion of social media wars.

I don't think it's about being popular, it's about being right or wrong. He is surely NOT the best politician in Pakistan but by far the best LEADER from current available leaders. Nawaz Sharif has had this chances but i don't think he did anything concrete to improve condition of any average person. He is way better than Zardari so i would prefer Sharif brothers to corrupt PPP brigade any day.
What i don't like about Sharifs is their hypocrisy, blame Imran day and night for having support from ISI even after court ruling that they were the ones who not only won with ISI support but took money as well.
They blame Imran for accepting lotas and become Musharraf or Q league but go on to accept at least 3 times more people from Musharaff-Q group. Even the ones they accused of being drug dealers have actually been lured to PMLN.
Imran's attack has always been about Tax evasion (proven very recently), money laundering (Even BBC documentary exists on this), unfair advantage of power (Raiwing infrastructure, 1300 police escorts are living examples)
I can go on and on but if you still think Sharifs are more principled and better option then surely your choice my friend.
