Well I think sharnarti from Pakistan spread all over India and they were very few in number compared to local people. Furthermore they found their own people (language wise) across the border and mingled with them.
Unfortunately in Pakistan, this was not the case, people from UP, Rajhistan, CP, Hyderabad, Madras and Bihar - they all turned up in Hyderabad and Karachi and their ratio as compared to the one going across the border was higher. For many reasons - fault of their owns as well as faults of their hosts, they could not mingle with the local population.
