Even during the worst time when urdu speaking people were being killed indiscriminately in Karachi, even at that time MQM did not say that it wants to join PMLN to bring down PPP government. It said it wanted the government to finish its tenure.

So where is the betrayal and backstabing?
MQM still has not joined the government. And the decision to continue the governorship was taken in the best interest of Karachi, Sindh, and country. All stakeholders in Karachi are lauding MQM’s decision to ask Ishrat to continue as governor … and that includes not just PPP leaders but also ANP.
Now the tempers at all sides are cooled down, and the city has returned to normal once again, which is everyone’s priority.
