Karachi is not in a vacuum. Deweaponization is not possible in Karachi alone. It is a good policy, but it should happen all across the country instead of just one city.
Even if it is fully successful, the city would again have same number of illegal weapons in a few months. Because of the flow of weapons from other parts of the country. And it is possible to stop this flow.

The only way to deweaponize Karachi is by deweaponizing the whole country.

It has to be done step by step, city by city, probably 100% de-weaponization may not be possible but if we could eliminate 60-70% that should be a good start. Currently its only Karachi seeing every day deaths in 10s-20s.
