Audacity should do it . .its free and an excellent software
QuicktimePro can do it too, but that is more of a manual split and you have to buy the software ..
and BTW, if you have time on your hand, you should be able to use Window Movie maker to do that .. I think ..
You should already have windows movie maker if you are using XP or Vista
