Re: Moving to Pakistan From UK.
My friend moved from a big city to a smaller village setting. She had to take some time adjusting because suddenly restaurants, shops, movies became non existent. It was very very isolating. Suddenly she became kind of the head of the village and she couldn’t mingle with the women (half the problem is she can’t understand them) and couldn’t really go places on foot unless she wanted to take a walk through the fields. She has a house in the city which she stays in for months as well and she has no intention of staying put in the village when her children start school. So unless and until you have a breather from village life even an average city dweller Pakistani would have a tough time.
Heat, water, electricity is an issue if you don’t have money. If you’re loaded it’s not an issue, if you’re not then be prepared to cry on your electricity bills. My friend has solar panels, huge generator so I don’t think she even realises the electricity goes off.
Robbery, kidnapping depend on the area. If something like that has happened in the area then you should know before hand. Generators are actually very steal able.
