Re: buffets, I doubt if I will be eating any meat products in Bombay Garden (if they are not halal), so do they have a la carte too?
So far I usually stick with Pakistani retaurants when it comes to buffet. Have you tried Chandni on Stenvenson (Fremont). Comparatively speaking which one is better in buffet?

No, I haven't tried Chandni so far... only been to three Pak Restaurants around this place - "Shalimar" in SFO and "Chaat Cafe" & "New India Mahal" here. Shalimar obviously is the king of Non-Veg.
Maybe you should try the Afghan Restaurant(if you haven't already) on Fremont Blvd. in Fremont (near the previous location of Naaz). Their parathaas are very popular among the Desi log here.

I have been to Shalimar more than once... and the food is good but the ambiance is .... well, I have heard they have another more upscale restaurant as well.. Maybe I should try it.
Pakwan (2 locations in SF and 1 in Hayward) is also supposed to be good.
"Chaat Cafe", as far as I know is in Berkely, which is more than an hour's drive from here.
"New India Mahal"... is that a Pakistani place serving halaal? Its on Walnut, right? Maybe I should also try it sometime.
Which Afghan place are you talking about. There are many in Fremont. I don't know the previous location of Naaz. Is it on Fremont Blvd somewhere?
