only issue with getting a phone on your own is that you will have to deal with warranty issues yourself if there is a problem, otherwise your provider can sort it for u

Re: Motorola Razr
OMG for once something costs more in the states. Razr is availble for around £110 in UK and pink of around £130.
Re: Motorola Razr
Yup! I think i might get the black v3, its $99 with cingular wireless plan.
Can anyone here convince me that this RAZR is not a good fone?
Re: Motorola Razr
In terms of software, the Razr is basically the same as the V505, which is a good thing. You can take pictures with the phone closed, but the VGA camera is just average (despite its glass, not plastic, lens). Call quality is acceptable, though not extraordinary like Nokia. Of course, fashion plates are notoriously quirky, and the Razr is no exception. Without the backlight on, the external display is virtually impossible to read. The case isn't easy to scratch, but if you do, scratches really show. Still, these minor nits won't stop the Razr from being the phone to be seen with this winter.
Re: Motorola Razr
have it.. rather boring if you ask me. :(
Re: Motorola Razr
Moto ROKR is the real manly phone :k:
Razr is too sleek.
Re: Motorola Razr
Black Razr is for guys
Silver Razr is for gurls

Re: Motorola Razr
got a black razr for moiself and a pink one for the wifey. I like the phone, while my palm treo is the weekly workhorse, weekend and eves I use razr.
i like the reception, ease of use and all, thing is not feature filled but as a phone it is great, I can keep it in my pocket without lookig like I am happy to see someone and I also avoid putting it on my belt and avoid making my belt look like batman's utility belt.
Re: Motorola Razr
Guyz, before u rush for V3, make sure u check out V3i. It is out already for $550
Re: Motorola Razr
Not worth spending 5 benjamins on a cellfone. Black V3 with cingular plan works for me.
Re: Motorola Razr
Hey i got mine last week…i love it
so sleek, and i got the handsfree with it (HS820)…not used to that thing on my ear, but no complains…i’m just scared that i’ll break the fone…i already dropped it once
…but it’s fine…here r a couple of pics.
Re: Motorola Razr
Nice phone. I just find it too big.
Re: Motorola Razr
^ yea...but at least now i can fit my mobile in my pocket easily or a small hand bag (u'd have to be a girl to understand :) )...all the other mobiles i had in the past were too bulky...this one is wider, but at least it's thin.
Re: Motorola Razr
Hey,
I see T-mobile has the Pink Razr for $200 now. My contract ends at the end of Jan. so am planning on getting it then. I’ve had the silver Razr for the past year and LOVE it and am expecting the same kind of “service” from the Pink one too.
I haven’t see the phone in person though…only in pics. A friend of mine who saw it at the store told me that the color outside is dull matte. Is that true? Becuase in all the pics, it looks like a shiny magenta.
BTW, if the pink Razr has the same durability as the silver Razr, I wouldn’t worry too much about dropping it. I’ve dropped my Razr quite a few times over the past year and thank God the only signs of those drops are tiny scratches. And yes, only girls can fully appreciate the need for a SLIM phone to fit in those tiny(especially evening) bags! ![]()
Re: Motorola Razr
ya all of 'em are exactly the same - just outer cover is different
Re: Motorola Razr
overrated phone...not good reception..but over all decent!
word of warning: Dont ever drop this phone! its too fragile!
Re: Motorola Razr
erm I wudn’t describe it as dull…i guess in shaded/dark areas it mite look a bit matte…but it’s definately shiny in normal light, or when the light is directly coming on it…don’t worry u can tell it’s pink from afar ![]()
Oh and i’m gona return that bluetooth handsfree i got from the UK (the HS820)…ppl cudn’t hear me, i had to shout on it all the time
so i’m probably gona get one from here (US)…the reason i want the bluetooth one is cos that way i can protect the fone by keeping it in my hand bag or pocket, since of course i won’t be using a cover on it! So does anyone know a GOOD one compatible with this fone?
Re: Motorola Razr

Razr is one of the best phone I've had. I think this phone has very good reception, it must be the area or the provider.
Yes, it is. :( I've dropped it twice.
Re: Motorola Razr
^ Agreed!
Quite sturdy phone over all. BEST reception of ALL phones out there! Yes BEST (trust me, I have used 'em all).
It does have angles that it will not last if dropped like that (or opened).
