Re: Motherboard
P4 stands for pentium 4 dual core is the future for processor technology as manufacturers such as intel hit a brickwall concerning clock speed, dual core allows yu to run multiple threads of application like virus scanning, encoding mp3, watching a video all at the same time without the lag yu get with single core processors.
810, 820, 830 are intel dual core series,, yes amd are also developing quad processors think of it like 4 cpus on one die
Re: Motherboard
todd: lol dont ask me that again! its mainly for extreme gaming, also my computer runs 12 video survelliance cameras through DVR card , thats why i need a fast speed motherboard with fast graphics also! and i got 1 ftp that is very busy during night time!
eage: thanks for the info..i think i will still stick with intel though..like i said before..money isnt problem…i just want the best of best!
Re: Motherboard
but, AMD is the best … intel is all name baby (ok, good for encoding).
read any hardware enthusiast websites, sharky, anand, toms, whatever.
AMD is King when it comes to gaming.
along with low power usage, on the fly throttling of the cpu, how can you go wrong. even if money is not an issue, amd is still better
read this
Re: Motherboard
i agree with nomaan, amd are 10-15 percent faster overall than the intel
Re: Motherboard
Furqan, for gaming and vdo monitoring your best bet is 2 go with AMD, will not be cheap though... Intel is for serious business data processing machines
Re: Motherboard
what exactly your ftp is doing all night, can we have access to it
( if there is something usefull)
Re: Motherboard
^ hahah sure..
Todd: yeah after reading so much positive things about amd...i am seriously thinking about amd also now, athlon fx-55 looks good right now but just the CPU right now is about over a $1k canadian price :( ...gona wait till january so prices can go down
