What number are you talking about? You aren’t supposed to see the refund amount on the tax form, it’s supposed to be automatic and the check will be mailed to you if you qualify :confused:

**Edit: **I think you are referring to the regular refund :smack: Looking at the replies, I thought you were talking about the government’s rebate check, which is different than the REFUND check :smack:

That $2,309 would be your REFUND if you did it correctly. It depends on how much money you made last year and how much you had withheld from your paychecks.

i.e If you made $50K last year and they took out $4,000 from your paychecks (all together) but according to your TAXABLE income you are only supposed to pay $1,500, then you will get the additional amount that they withheld ($2,500) back. Hope that makes sense :D

In fact, part of that CNN links says that they will review the rebates given in 2008 and if a change happens THIS year that may have INCREASED your rebate amount, they will send you the difference in 2009. So get to work Sabriya, hurry up and get married in 2008 :D
