I wrote a birthplan with baby #1 and it went right out the window. The fact is you can have your say with certain decisions but you can't completely control all the events of a birth. It's good to let your doctor know your wishes but don't have anything written in stone. These things never go exactly as you want them to, especially with a first baby.
