i totally agree with LH on this. I was myself about to start a thread on Hafeez. His bowling has been expensive and he has failed miserbly in the ODI's against the Bengali opening bowling attack. As Saby pointed out, Afridi was the same way, he bowled well but usually failed with the bat in the last few games he played for Pakistan.
I would say give Imran Nazir or Salman Butt a chance. Everyone knows Imran is talented while Salman looks to be good.
Mr.Lyallpur, good point, bring back Saleem Elahi, enough of this sifarshi nonsense. That man could bat,,, and he never got a chance
How are you Yaasir I have'nt spoken to you in a few months
You have a valid point about Hafeez. you can't even fairly compare him to Afridi because at least Afridi could post huge scores every once in a while. Hafeez is'nt a big hitter like him.
Hazan Raza is long forgotten, but the guy is still real young, he should be given a shot also. What about that Farhan Adil character who was around for a single test I think. If you let these guys play at least give them more than one shot.
this sifarshi business is getting out of hand, and does aamir sohail think nobody is notcing? this is utter baysharmi on his part....speaking of long forgotten batsmen, anyone remember Mohammad Waseem? he put up great numbers and his technique was almost flawless....but i haven't heard of him for a couple of years now....elahi bhai, i was also wondering about farhan adil....aamir sohail was talking big about this guy before the bangali series but where is he now?

I agree Ehsan bhai but what is Miandad getting the big bucks for. I read his autobiography and he jsut have the wrong concept of what a coach's job is. He expects the captain to consult him during the course of the match and he wants to send messages from the dressing room and be a part of match strategy and stuff like that. That’s all fine but he also needs to work on players technical flaws. Sending players messages from the dressing room to slow down and watch for the bad ball wont cut it. He needs to work on them, tell them what they did wrong and what they should do to correct the problem.

minadad has behind the development of a lot of the present players including inzi and yousuf. he also made afridi a much better palyer under his coaching, and u know how hard that would have been!
he's not there to spoonfeed these players. the onus is on them to be more responsible and play professionally. he cant go out there and bat for them. the way hameed and hafeez lost their wkts in the 3rd match, or the way nazir got out in the 4th game, and there are many more instances like these. The players shd act more maturely. Its not his fault.
