The girl’s name Eliana *\e-lia-**[na](javascript:;)* is pronounced el-ee-AH-nah . It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is “God has answered ”. May also be related to the Greek “elios” meaning “god of the sun ”, and the name may thus mean “daughter of the sun ”.

Re: Modern Muslim Baby Boy and Girl Names

Re: Modern Muslim Baby Boy and Girl Names
We had our second baby girl MashAllah a year ago and we named her Ariana (full of life - she sure is MashAllah)
It is always nice to gets everyone's input but truly in my opinion the meaning of a name should be good, must be liked by both parents and must suit the child.
We didn't know the sex of either of our children, so we went in with three names for each gender and made our decision after meeting our bundle of joy. Both times I think we've gotten it right :)
Re: Modern Muslim Baby Boy and Girl Names
How about Bilal for a boy (the first African slave who became a Muslim and called the Adhan) or Eliza for a girl (unique)
Re: Modern Muslim Baby Boy and Girl Names
One name i really like is Usaid or Usayd.
Usayd ibn Hudayr was one of the companions of Prophet S.A.W. He had such a beautiful voice that once he was reciting Quran, angels descended on earth.

Re: Modern Muslim Baby Boy and Girl Names
If I had a boy I'd name him "Zinadine" which I believe means "Ornament of the faith" and is also the name of an awesome football player.
