i have a question, who is the miss pakistan in the moonlite commercial. since their are no pageants in pakistan, which pageant did she become miss pakistan from? she is not pretty at all, my mom says that her parents probably paid for the title.

I didn't like the girls in all the western clothes they should only feature them in desi clothes...that is much attractive for desi audience.

I have talked to many people who are somewhat familiar with Pakistani culture. Since we are close - they admit that Pakistani women are always considered more beautiful, fairer and more elegant (mainy because of their culture.
Most sikh / indian friends I had during college times were going tremendous lengths just to talk to paki girls (they had tons indians friends / gf).
Point being. Pakis are known for their culture. Its different from India and other surrounding countries - because its the perfect blend of Islam and modernization (in my opinion). [Although something really need to be changed - like more rights and respect should be given to woman along with education]. No way "Beauty Peagent" is F@#$ modrenization. Their claim is that its a person they are judging on a whole - not just external beauty. Thats why girls with scolarships / who have done much to contribute to social structure / acheived respect are not considered!
