Yeh shaam yunhe akailay guzarni hogi
na koi shair, na shayar, na shayari hogi
khud kalami sey thak sa gaya hoon mein
Pasay aena ik chehra yeh keh raha hai mujhay
Mein bhi akela hoon tumhari tarah
Jo bach gaye hai akailay he nibhani hogi

I AM NEVER ALONE

I can feel you, in my thoughts
You live in me, in my dreams
You are always there, in my body and soul
Just as inseparable, as a baby in the womb
I can see you, with my eyes closed
I can smell you, in the distant winds
Beyond earthly horizons
Past the ridges, over the hills
The breath on my lips
The blood in my veins
The beats in my heart
They talk to me, my love, of nothing but you
When I come across, the chirping birds
The roaming butterflies, the blooming roses
And blushing lilies
I know there is a meaning, in their presence
For they all carry for me, your lovely essence
In raging winds, and violent storms
Amidst blinding rain, and roaring thunder
I can hear your melodious voice
For no other sound can ever enter
The heart, where you center
As the lightning strikes, and it starts to rain
I feel as if, the sky has joined me
In shedding tears and crying for you
When I miss your touch and yearn for your warmth
And crave for your company and long for your love
I talk to me and tell myself,
You are always there, deep inside my soul
Wherein you reside, not in part but whole
You are in me, and I am in you
Nothing can ever, split my soul in two
Time and again, every now and then
My heart reminds me, whenever I am alone
That,…………………………. I am never alone
