Re: Misbah Ul Haq
I just found out that Misbah is the only player in pak team who has a 50 to his name . no other pak player has a 50 in 20/20 format.
Shoaib Malik and Younis Khan both scored half-centuries against SL last night.
Re: Misbah Ul Haq
Misbah is a good technical player. He focuses on timing the ball well rather than hitting it over the top.
He was initially struggling against India but after the fall of Afridi, he really belted the ball to all parts of the ground, almost hitting boundaries at will. It was sad he couldn't squeeze a single off the last two balls of Sreesanth's over.
Re: Misbah Ul Haq
For your kind information, Pakistan has not even played 10 Twenty20 matches, so any statistic right now means nothing, really. This is a very different format. Let a total of 100 Internationals go and then we will think about statistics.
smooth brother, give credit where its due, at least there is one player who has made 50. Even in 10 matches.
Re: Misbah Ul Haq
The only sad thing is Misbah is 33 already. So he has only an outside chance of playing in the next World Cup in 2011 (I mean the elite 50-overs tournament). Maybe he would but let's see first how he does against South Africa and India in the ODIs this year

I know, he is very talented. It is sad to see that he got selected after so long.

misbah got selected several years ago for Pakistan and did play both forms of cricket however didn't impress the PCB. Believe me this time he looks like a different player all together. Lets see how he performs in tests and ODIs.
Re: Misbah Ul Haq
got to give credit where is credit is due, no one gave misbah a chance but now he has sealed his place in the middle order
the openers can learn a thing or two from him, he was given this one chance and he made it count
Re: Misbah Ul Haq
hey ppl misbah ul haq was da man of the match 2day .
ok
Re: Misbah Ul Haq
When Misbah name was included in the team I thought that he may have got a chance because of some connection, but when I saw that he has first class average of 50, a rarity that only top class batsmen can have, I realized that it was not that he got chance due to connection, but in reality he was kept out of the team for long time unjustly. I believe that he should have been given several chances in all sort of cricket regardless of his bad performance in few odd matches he got chance. Those that have average of 50 in first class would eventually show that in all class of cricket too.
Today Misbah is 33 years old and unfortunately he was given only 5 tests in his long cricket career, where he did not do that good, still I think that he should have been given much more chances than that. In the end, due to this nepotism, bias attitude in Pakistan, and ignorance, Pakistan lost out as Pakistan did not promoted a player that could have become match winner in test as well as other form of cricket, whereas lower capable players with ridiculous performances kept getting chances and playing all sort of cricket for Pakistan.
