Above statement is not only wrong information but seems intentionally presented with wrong information for propaganda purpose to show as something done wrong by Musharraf government what was actually right thing what they did.
Truth is that, minorities can contest election and win seats from directly elected 272 seats, just like any Pakistani, so 272 seats are not Muslim seats but Pakistani seats. It is same as women can contest any of those 272 seats.
As for 10 reserved minority seats, they are there as it is difficuly for minorities to get elected directly in a country with 97 percent Muslim population, so these 10 seats give them sure representation in parliament. It is same with women who can contest election directly on 272 seats, but also have 60 reserved seats because their chance of getting elected directly is slim, so these 60 seats ensure their representation in parliament.
