Extremely painful news. May Allah keep all the innocent citizens of Pakistan safe, and may all the players behind such killings rot in hell

Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
Haven't some deoband ulemas come out with condemnations? Of course, you won't get any from diesel and his ilk as they are a lost cause who run these evil madarsas in the first place.
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
Mostar, you think it's all happening because ulemas are not openly condemning it?
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
It is a shame that even sad and terrible events like these lead to people posting inflammatory statements to score points. Have we not suffered enough, for God sake unite and stop this senseless point scoring.

so this is india giving pakistan munh toor jawab, for pathan kot attacks ?
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda

Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
army/govt/politicians/public/media/bureaucracy...we are all in it now together and everyone will face the music one way or the other. I don't even have any force left to analyze the situation that who is wrong and who is right and who can do more to stop this madness..... what worries me most is that as a nation we are still divided against this monster and are not fully united 100%
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda

maybe considering what indian minister said the other day but you know what...........i want our agencies, ISI cheif and then our interior minister to stand up and announce it publicly supported by whatever proofs we find and then hand those proofs over to india just like what india did after pathanakot incidence...and if we dont have enough proof and our army/govt remain quiet, I am afraid such propositions will be considered part of blame game.
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
The counter narrative, by Prof Ghamdi:
He has good points, except for one which I sorta-disagree with. As per him the basic 12 years of ‘liberal/progressive’ education should be must for everyone before going for specialized education like religion/art/science/medicine etc. One point he lost me on is i.e. mosques are govt institution and do not belong with ‘scholars/ulema’ and I disagree with that.
Phoenixdesi: Please feel free to take it as starting thread if you will.
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
I agree with Ghamdi, and as far as Mosques to be taken up by Govt…it would be best step to eradicate hate speech and enmity between sects.
I disagree on the point of not providing religious education before the age of 12, basics like Quran and Hadith regarding living in Soceity should be thought… Advance level things can wait until they growup

There needs to be a balance otherwise the religion becomes completely an alien to the society/country very soon and will be very dependent on what kind of govt comes in i.e. MQM, PPP, PMLN, PTI etc.. Scholars need to be in mosques for sermons but it should be controlled by govt in the sense that no hate-preaching is done, no propaganda against any sect/religion/etc is done.

Islamiat can still be a subject while parents can teach quran/arabic on the side (not-in-schools).
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
What will Pakistan do ? Invade Afghanistan? Get embroiled in a war that even America couldn't win ? Pakistani army isn't that good.
Currently Taliban, the parent organization, runs more afghan territory than they did pre-911. They are taking town after town and even central Afghan government can't fix it. They'll eventually get overthrown and whereas Pakistan had silently appeased these guys pre-911, their daggers are now drawn against Pakistan. Once Kabul falls back to them, they will attack Pakistan like no other war in Pakistan's history.
Supporting the current Afghan government and working with them without engaging in conflict or retaliation is in Pakistan's interest. If the military walks over to Kabul and gets inflammatory, it will weaken Kabul more and Taliban and TTP groups will take over from a power vacuum. Pakistan is playing it smart by working with Afghan without trying to peeve them off at this time.
This is pretty bad. I have been watching Taliban activity recently in Afghanistan with apprehension. This attack on a university will look like child's play if these guys gain more control of Afghanistan and gets access to more resources.
Not an easy situation. These groups have control tactics that allow them to gain swift control wherever they go. Same thing we see with ISIS. More than ever Muslims need to stop wasting their energy defending their image in Western media and spend more time working on cleaning up madrasah system and haul out these jaahil maulvis. Poor uneducated Muslims need to get appropriate education and people can't be allowed to think suicide bombing and killing innocent people is acceptable. This isn't happening. No events or organizations working on taking back at risk teens and youth from joining these groups globally. But everywhere I look there are Islamophobia education events. The problem isn't how white people are seeing us. The problem is actually us. It's how we think of Islam. And how we are practicing it. It's an embarrassment.

PCG, the group responsible for attacks in Pakistan is not afghan taliban but TTP (tehrak taliban pakistan). TTP is largely consisted of pakistan based terrorists, although some of its leadership is hiding in afghanistan as well. While afghan taliban ameer Mullah Omar used to be a parent leader of TTP as well but just ideologically as TTP never listened to afghan talibans and after mullah omar's death, TTP is totally independent. Pls note that as of now afghan taliban have not attacked Pakistan..cant say abt future. thx

I think that it is time that Pakistan applies pressure through US for afghanistan to accept Durand Line so we can properly man and/or fence the border. Right now, if Pakistan starts work then afghanistan's army shows up to fire bullets so pakistan has to reply back. Funny that the same army is no where to be found where the whole east and now south of afghanistan is being ceded to haqqanis / taliban / HI etc.
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
Unfortunately due to slavery of US , The traitors Zia & Mush and their successors opted so wrong policies that we have no option now , We can’t go against Afghan Taliban now as we don’t have power to crush them in Afghanistan . US and allies are still there but Taliban are ruling more than 80% of Afghanistan , Our only favor is possible in case of an agreement between Afghanistan & Taliban as both are afraid of rising influence of ISIS .
And a news
**Army chief asks Afghan president for help in tracing Charsadda attackers
**
**
DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Bajwa says Bacha Khan University attack was controlled from a location in Afghanistan.**
Re: Militants storm Bacha Khan university in Charsadda
Lets hope ISIS scares the Taliban enough to want to quit…
