I was thinking about the same thing but then convinced myself that its not possible that the prisoners who fled from the jail could be behind the mayhem in Afghanistan on such a short notice. However the authorities will be checking if there’s any correlation between the two:

That’s impossible. The amount of training and practice a set of coordinated attacks like that would require means that people could not escape from prison in Pakistan and then immediately and carry out such an attack.

Normally people who do sort of attack (as they did in Afghanistan) are planted locally days ahead of the attack.

Gunmen attacked, heavy firing from both sides, 400 inmates escaped - inmates probably did not have any weapon and escaped from behind police line

Yes because they are "their" men. How can so many people escape yet no-one responds? After the Osama debacle.....i wont even say it, it is so obvious!

I pointed that out the day news came. not only gunmen left without any issues, they were in control for 2 hrs and there are 3 police stations with in 10 mins from the prison and no body came.
apparantly talibs had blocked the roads and put up check point telling people that they are doing their business so keep away.
for 500 people (400 inmates + 100 militants) you need at least 70-80 vehicles. so how come such a big caravan go unnoticed? beats me

things seem fishy ... without any sort of inside help, I really doubt if it was possible to break into jail!
