a jew woman invited him for a meal....
he went with his comapnions, but on the first bite, he was informed by Allah that the food is poisoned and he spat it out and told his companions not to eat....
some ppl r of the view that this poison is the cause for the death of the Prophet (saw)....
but the incident took place quite a while before his death and hence not regarded with much seriousness....
fatguru (can u change ur name plz), i am sorry, reading my sentence again, i think if someone read it without prior knowledge he wud think that Quran was available as a printed book (pages bound between covers), which was certainly not the case....
am sorry if u mistook me....
i was only trying to say that it was available (all of it) in a written format....
