Re: Milad-un-Nabiy Celebration (al-Mawlid) a well accepted good Islamic practice
i agree with you....personally...i have never celeberated...neither in my family such things happened...i just gave the view of opposite side.....furthermore..... happiness ...yes every muslims become happy on this day...but as hareem said in excellent way..."particular jaloos type " milad...spending a lot money on dramatic stage...stereo system...reciting naats withfull disco music and all such types of things...are strictly negated by all scholars....
yes brother, u r rite, to me having stereo system, singing indian songs or having milaad jaloos blocking the roads is the direct insult to the Prophet (PBUH) and his teaching, infact i believe that who ever organize or participate in these kind of events are standing Against Al-Mighty Allah.
The way we can celebrate ( if desired) we can do it as The Prophet (PBUH) did, we can Fast on that day, infact there is a riwaya that says , The Prophet (PBUH) use to Fast on Mondays and Thursdays. some connect Mondays fasting with hi wiladah. though the sanad of the riwaya is weak, and Scholars have categorized it as hasan, still Fasting is the best ibadah we can offer on that day.
Nevertheless, If we truly want to Celebrate Prophet's Birthday, we can do it all year by just practising what he preached.
