Re: Mikail/Michael
Just to add a bit more to the above.
MICHAEL:- “From the Hebrew name Miyka’el which meant “who is like God?”. This is the name of one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible.”
GABRIEL: - “From the Hebrew name Gabriyel which meant “strong man of God”. Gabriel is one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition. He appears in both the Old Testament and the New Testament, where he serves as the announcer of the births of John to Zechariah and Jesus to Mary. According to Islamic tradition he was the angel who dictated the Koran to Muhammad.”
ISHMAEL: - From the Hebrew name Yishma’el meaning “God will hear”. In the Old Testament this is the name of a son of Abraham. He is the traditional ancestor of the Arabs.
AZRAEL: - “Derived from Hebrew 'azra’el meaning “help of God”. This is the name of an angel in Jewish and Muslim tradition who separated the soul from the body upon death. He is sometimes referred to as the Angel of Death.”
