I don’t think Daniya sounds Western at all, like sgc said, it is quintessential arab/lebanese.

I did something similar. My dad asked me to call my first born Abu-Bakr; as a compromise, it is now his middle-name instead the traditional one ( father’s first name )

Haha not too much didn’t really want to shop before hand and we named him Muhammad Daniyal.
