Installing it on a fresh machine was very simple and very quick with minimal questions. Then it gives 3 days grace period before you have to activate it. This was a Dell D610 machine. The only driver it didn't find during install was the Intel 2200 wifi card and the Sigma Tel sound card. But after the install when i did and update it found those 2 as well. Another install i did was on Virtual PC VM and that also went without a hitch.
On the machine that I upgraded it spent a lot of time evaluating the software and hardware on the laptop, then it suggested i uninstall some crap and others that may not work properly. Finally it did the upgrade but left some of the hardware disabled. Symantec AV stopped working. I tried finding the upgrades and drivers but wasn't able to so went back to XP on that one.
But its very pretty, if you will. Performance was OK. I'm still playing around with it and will keep you guys updated.
