^^such a shame for the ppl who do not miss a single chance to mock at others and never bother to look at theirself what they are. Pathetic ....
I am sad at his death as he was someone I always saw on TV, heard about him, heard his songs n music since I opened my eyes. No doubt he was a mysterious guy. He was very protective about his privacy , thats what his closest friends say too about him. We do not know wht person he was in real life n off the stage. At the end its all our deeds which will save us if we have done more good in this world. May Allah have mercy on him , Ameen.
:(
Was that aimed at me?? Sorry if I insulted anyone.
Oh, sorry my bad, and ur right ppl should look at themselves first before being so critical of others..
Btw Ali Usman, I have no idea for sure if the rumours are true and he was Muslim but there are many people out there who see religion (rightly or wrongly) as a private thing. There are loads of Muslim (and Christian) celebs in the US who simply do not want to talk about something they might regard as too personal and of course there's the whole 'Islamophobia' angle.
His brother Jermain MA seems like a great man, very humble. My parents heard him speak at some Islamic event in London (think it might have been GPU) and were really impressed. He also does a lot of work with the Islam Channel. There are bits and pieces online saying Michael took his shahada last November but I guess we can't know for sure unless someone close to him confirms it.
Have to admit hearing Jermain say, "May Allah be with you Michael, always." made me shed a tear..
Regardless of whether he was Muslim or not, "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayihi Raajioon" can be used... it's just a statement to signify that everything in this world belongs to God, and to Him everything returns.
I don't see anything wrong with saying it.
Regarding your second comment, I find it abhorrent that you would disrespect a dead person who hasn't caused you any harm.
I wasn't a big fan of MJ but I liked some of his music - nonetheless, he has done quite a lot for charities around the world. May his soul rest in peace.
Am gutted. Had tickets to see him on the 18th of July, the 3rd concert. I didn't expect him to do the whole 50 concerts but when i found out he had died I was so shocked. Totally unexpected. :(

Exactly, in fact "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayihi Raajioon" can be used for any bad news, not just death

Bad news? Isn't it actually a prayer that you can recite when you lost something? Like you lost your watch (Just an example) so you pray to Allah so that you get it back.
Inalillahe Wainaillaihe Rajiun. I shed a few tears this morning when I heard about this news. Not because MJ died, this is a part of our lives, but rather because I had to think how MJ converted to Islam about half a year ago. He died as a muslim. May Allah SWT forgive his sins.
I don't believe what they have been telling about him in the Media for the last few years BTW.
^ There were rumors about it some time back that Micheal converted but since yesterday all of the "allaho Akbar" sorrta videos are apperaing on the internet because his brother Jermaine Jakson(who actually converted to Islam some years ago) said may allah be with you. Jermaine I guess said it because he is muslim himself.
I googled and found couple of the same topics too, that he did embrace Islam last year, but then the TV media is silent about it which is a myth. I believe its more of a controversy then reality or TV media would have acknowledged it.
Anyhow, such a sudden death, and young too, is shocking, especially for MJ lovers.
This is an edit to my previous comment. Several of the reports of Michaels conversion mentioned Yusuf Islam attending the ceremony. I went to his website and this is what I found:
"Did Yusuf Help Jackson Become Muslim?
Contrary to persistent press rumours, I was not at any kind of conversion ceremony for Michael Jackson. Nor, I believe, was Dawud Wharnsby or any of the others mentioned in connection with the story. Granted, I was in Los Angeles at the time these rumours first appeared – but I was busy filming a video for a new song, Boots & Sand.
I have met Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s older brother, who became a Muslim some years ago. As for Michael himself, I hope that he finds inner peace and can return to making the kind of music that has inspired generations."
Therefore, only Allah knows whether the stories about Michael's conversion are true or not, since the part about Yusuf Islam was not true.
This is veryyyy sad news indeed. I don't think the world realizes yet what has been lost.
Michael Jackson did not only belong to the best of his era, or of the modern era; I think his star will rise and be among the most talented and gifted of people in history.
