He is a legend in his area of competition....................started a trend which changed the face of music Industry.
At one chapter of his life he claimed to be a Muslim ( I don't know how true is that ) but even if he was holding on to a little bit of it, thats the best deal he earned in his life.
They say he took Shahada last year (2008) in a small ceremony which was reportedly attended by Yusuf Islam(Cat Stevens). He chose the name Mikaeel. Atleast according to several online sources.
Very extremely sad yaar! I just couldn't believe it when I heard it. I was at work and only God knows how I remained at work after I got this heart-wrenching news. May his soul be blessed and rest in peace. I feel equally sorry for his kids :(:(:(:(
I've been watching the news all day. It has been one somber day. You feel even more sympathy when reflect over the fact that while he was incredibly famous.......he led a very challenging and sad/lonely life. RIP.
But seriously, he was the man who put the entertainment in music. People can only dream of achieving what he achieved. He did live a challenging life I was lookoing forward to his concerts at the O2! I’m so sad!! He produced the BIGGEST hits, the music industry were lucky to have him but his music will always be there. He started singing from SUCH a young age and he ddin’t fail to please every time. He led a life in the eye of the public, through his most toughest times and even at the end there were paps filming him being taken away in an ambulance while he lay unconscious.
Apparently people at Glastonbury thought it was a rumour to see who could get the biggest rumour out into the festival when they all realized it was true they were gutted.
RIP Michael, your Motown Album will always stay on top of my albums collection.
