End of tiki-taka? In the last world cup Spain was ridiculed and hated for their style, and apparently it's not working. Would be interesting to see how they play against Chile. Would be another tough game for Spain..

This match was like Pakistan played under Wasim Akram in 99 ICC World Cup final.

Not really. If you have seen Barca and Spain play for the last year then you would know that either they win tight or they collapse. Bayern did that to Barca last year too and they play exactly like Spain. Teams have adapted to the tikitaka style.
Xavi is past it, the manager cannot drop him since he is Barca’s captain and well like Tendulkar. And Xavi can’t run the midfield as well he used to. Alonso is on and off. They had to change their entire system to accommodate Costa (finally their first good striker since Villa) and they failed when they should have played with Cazorla or Fabregas. Coupled with the fact that teams have adapted to their tikitaka. Their defence has aged and isn’t really good enough anymore. Other than Costa they have no good striker and if they play him then they have to change their entire system.
They also lost the first match of the last WC as well. Rest was history.

It may not have been fixed. Spain might have capitulated. But if it is so then Spain does not deserve to be called the great team. That's it.
Corruption happens everywhere. We know only recently FIFA officials were found to accept bribes from Qatar to give them the 2022 World Cup.

Noone is calling them the sole favorites. However they are a great team as they have won all three tournaments worldwide the last three times. Its laughable a team with such pedigree would do something like this. Barcelona have been found out again and again last two years and Spain's half team is full of Barca players with the exact same style. A team with a new system, some old players who are big names but not as good it was predictable and bound to happen sooner or later. Also all these players ear around 8-12million or so a year. You'd have to tempt them with Bill Gates style money.
As for fixing, CNN is not saying its Spain. Historically African countries have indulged in it a lot and so have the Italians. You brought them up specifically and I was surprised that you did, as their defeat isn't really that surprising. If the Dutch hadn't done it then Chile may have had or any team with a decent counter attacking system.
FIFA is corrupt, yes. Its accepted worldwide, it doesn't mean the players are. Consdiering how massive football is around the world i.e. the number of top leagues the thousands of players the match fixing is nothing in comparison to say cricket and very low considering football's size.

Well, yes. I think just one bad result doesn't make it a bad team. It remains a great team. True.
But no one was expecting this disaster to happen to Spain. Had this team past its prime, it should have been obvious to many people before the game, yet everyone was betting on Spain winning.
Let's see what happens in the coming matches. But Spain's drubbing really did make it all interesting. :)
