I love how subtle the writing is at times. For example there are no good and bad guys marked in black and white like so many of the other dramas airing these days. The characters essayed by Sakina Sammo and Samina Peerzada have subtle nuances of gray and so far its hard to tell who is in the right and who isn't. I also love how they did not rub the differences in the two girls physical attributes in the viewers faces by choosing an exaggeratedly dark girl to play Shazia. Sanam is attractive in her own way though not traditionally beautiful and I appreciate how they've left it at that. Can't wait to see more of this drama.

This play actually has a very afsanvi feel to it, it's an adaptation after all so no wonder. Feels like you are reading a novel. Everything is presented in a manner that you can't help but get involved and almost feel as if you are a part of the story. As if you are sitting in the same room as the characters. Both girls are acting really really well. Their expressions seem so so natural.
About the title song, great composition.
And I had the same sentiments as Rukhsarbibi, how did they get Komal to sing it so well. She has done a great job.

^agree, I think its one of those stories/drama where anyone can sort of relate to. Loving it. And now, after seeing another promo. i think shahbaz will be there for quite some time. Saw him and Imran abbas fight! cant wait!!

Which novel is it adapted from. I was pretty sure since it's Samira Fazal that it is an adaptation of some novel but haven't looked at the credits yet. I know with Noor Pur ki Rani they did not give credit to the original novel.

I'm loving Nazia's acting! I love her facial expressions the acting is natural on both girls in fact. Can't wait to find out what will be happening in the next episode!

Drama is interesting! And its so real!!!
The story is so similar to my current situation!! Living in joint family all of us girls (my cousins, sister and I) were given everything identical and we use to share everything from clothes to jewellery to toys. But as soon as my eldest cousin got married my bari - chachi began to separate everything, its more like us vs them now, which is very sad because we have literally lost our memories together.
I dont understand why though (all of my cousins are beautiful and successful)??
Every time i tell my father this he always says just think positive and blah blah!

oh haha! same as Noor Pur ki Rani and that other one with Humayun Saeed and Nadia Jamil.
It looks like Nazia's husband is going to die because they show her wearing all white in one of the promos and somebody lifts her dupatta and she's crying. Because Imran Abbas likes her, I think he'll try to marry her (2nd wife) but Shahbaz will come back in the picture.

unfortunately it is such a norm in every society. If your cousins don't feel the same way as your chachi, you can still work around obstacles :)

Too much screaming and melodrama in today's episode. Didn't like it much. Seems like Shazia is the only voice of reason in the whole house. Really feel bad for Shahbaz but I guess he'll be back toward the end of the drama (maybe :))

One thing i didnt like about the drama is they are showing how Shazia(Sanam) isnt goodlooking compared to Nazia just because she isnt gori like seriously wha the hell? Sanam is attractive and she has nice features, WHY GORA RANG IS ALWAYS A PERFECT BEAUTY SYMBOL in pak? I jus hate it!

Episode mein hud hee ho gaee!! both moms came across as psychotic and suffering from a severe form of postmenopausal mood disorder!!! None of them give their daughters the opportunity to explain themselves or clarify their positions. pagal aurtain!

yeah I don't understand that either why are they trying to present shazia as not pretty just cause of the skin tone difference, makes no sense her facial features are quiet attractive.
