isn’t it obvious, you had been having self mental stimulation and intellectual growth for all those years when you aren’t/weren’t married. It’s possible obviously…reading, watching good stuff on tv, the intellectual internet surfing (and no not being Awais Lovely on youtube and facebook 
) and once in a while indulging in a fruitful discussion with other people…friends, family (even if one feels their spouse doesnt match with them at an intellectual level).

It's possible, but at some point the lack of release (talking to someone else, especailly while being in a relationship) will drive you crazy. If both parties don't need the intellectual intercourse, and there are many who do not require that to be in a happy and stable relationship, then none if this really matters. But if one party craves/desires/or simply needs that form of stimulation, and their partner cannot satiate that need, then trouble could abound.
